Franchise application process

Every candidate must complete the same recruitment process, irrespective of previous commercial experience or tbe opportunity applied for. Unsuccessful candidates may be advised in writing at any point during this process.

Process overview (this may change from time to time):

Step One: Download and return completed assessment form
Return completed assessment form with cover letter to Gilmore offices (address below). Please note that we are unable to progress incomplete applications so please complete in full.

Step Two: Initial meeting
Attend an initial meeting and interview (usually held at Gilmore’s London offices, although regional visits are made regularly). All candidates must provide original documentation to prove identity and legal right to work / own a business in the UK. At this stage, we would also start identifying opportunities within the candidate’s region (subject to availability).

Step Three: Assessment & final interview
Attend an assessment day / final interview with the client. The nature of this event will depend upon the client involved, the candidate will be advised in writing as to general content.

Step Four: Site selection
Upon successful completion of the assessment day, a site will be selected and commercial terms agreed in principle.

Step Five: Legal and finance
The deposit must be paid to Gilmore Consultancy Limited so that contracts can be issued. The candidate’s file is now passed to the client and all future transfer of funds, exchange of contracts and ongoing correspondence and support will be between the client and candidate directly.
